Our Process

No building will stand successfully without the proper foundation and structure and each project can be seen in much the same way. With a tried and true process InnoVision solves a simple formula to ensure success.

  1. INVESTIGATION

The introduction into any project begins with a strong foundation. Without properly considering feasibility, and viability, work completed during the design or technical phases of your project can become redundant. However, rest assured that our process is designed to eliminate this from occurring.

InnoVision strongly emphasizes that the investigation phase is essential in order to determine the unique restrictions and challenges prior to any future work being completed. Accordingly, work can be completed more precisely to project scope, thus, ensuring challenges can be dealt with early in the project life cycle.

2. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

It is not uncommon that your project will require a degree of design development. Regardless of if you had design concepts previously prepared, or if your project is mainly technical in nature, chances are there will be a component of your project that needs to be dedicated to re-evaluating design concepts and/or taking a step back from the technical phase to properly consider elements of your design that were overlooked. In some cases, your project may only require conceptual modeling to understand the relationship between a building form and site, while others may be more intensely detailed, such would be the case with a formal interior design package, or new home or building construction project. However, no matter the situation, the bottom line is that InnoVision can fulfill your needs. We provide a complete and comprehensive host of design services for a diverse range of projects, assuring your needs can be fulfilled by our team of professionals.

3. TECHNICAL DRAWINGS

Prior to submitting for building permit, there are numerous technical considerations that must be explored in order to satisfy municipal requirements. Using the design development drawings as a base, architectural detailing, structural engineering, and mechanical engineering will be incorporated into the final drawing package. Although some projects may not need structural and/or mechanical engineering, the reality is that the majority of projects require both, and there is no exception to designs meeting the Ontario Building Code, (OBC) guidelines should you wish to acquire building permits.

4. BUILDING PERMITS

After a final drawing package has been completed, InnoVision will submit drawings to your municipal building department for review and approval. Ordinarily, revisions will not be required, however, under the circumstances that they are, InnoVision will work with city officials so drawings can be quickly amended.

InnoVision commonly works actively during this process to expedite approvals, so your project may proceed to the construction phase without unnecessary delay.
